Health audit of heat tracing system

Having an experience of more than two decades in electrical heat tracing, we undertake health audit of existing heat tracing systems which avoids the unexpected system failure/ downtime and ensures trouble free operations, in addition to the system optimization. This also includes trainings and spare part management. Health audit of heat tracing system helps to optimize energy consumption.Health audit of heat tracing system helps to understand energy consumption patterns and identify opportunities for optimization. By examining the usage and performance of heat tracing equipment, necessary adjustments or upgrades are determined. Health audit of heat tracing system is generally recommended to be done before winters or before monsoons so that the system is ready for the cold season.

Procedure

  • Visual inspection of thermal insulation is done.
  • System installation check
  • Insulation resistance test (IR) is performed for all heat tracing circuits.
  • Current, voltage is checked.
  • Fault checks done on heat tracing circuits
  • Checking of all junction boxes and terminations for healthiness.
  • Checking of all temperature sensors installed in the field.
  • Checking of heat tracing panel, functionality check.
  • Safety check.

Report is generated giving complete detail of observation and test results. In addition to this, following details are prepared and submitted to the client: List of spares required Report for any damage or any material/service required is generated and budgetary estimate is prepared. Suggestions for system improvement for better efficiency along with potential risk factors. Preventive maintenance training. Health audit for Heaters: We undertake health audit check for heaters for better efficiency, losses and healthiness. This includes recommendations and suggestions for system improvement, suggestions for precise controls and healthiness of heaters. In addition to this, Fixed heating load, start up load & insulation losses are determines. In case of frequent failure of heaters, detailed analysis is done and report is prepared with recommendations and suggestions for troubleshoot. Surface loading of heating elements is matched with the type of the fluid heated along with the size of the heater and MOC, to check the compatibility.
